Croatia, Slovenia. July 5 -
Zagreb is a lovely town to visit, very pleasant, modern, clean and welcoming. The comfortable cafe culture is lively and excellent way to spend a day and night. I wouldnt recommend Stukli, the local dish of wheat pancakes filled with cheese though....mine was tasteless and bland...
Otherwise very much recommended.
We drive up to Ljubijana in Slovenia, the drive itself is amazing for the new impressive highway and scenery. On arrival, we are very very impressed. Pretty place, pretty women, thriving restaurant, cafe culture and quaint very clean well kept streets to explore. The centre of town is very pretty with flowers decorating the canal like river, its many bridges and architectural attractions.
The long drive to Sibenek on the Croatian coast was made better by the wonderful new highways and sane driving standards. This area KICKS ITALY!!!
The big sky is a main attraction of northern Croatia, the sun sets slowly and is warming in all senses of the word, the distand mountain ranges glow with the power of the sun, its a magical place to be touring. Scenically glorious with vast flattish semi arid plains, reminiscent of Oz, and then large tracts of wilderness conifer forests. Amazingly peaceful scenery to be driving through. Remarkable scenery and we havent even started talking about the water!
Sibenik is a tiny seaside town, the morning sees it in all its beauty, small ancient village, much like Tuscany, but better and less crowded. The sky is perfect blue as the day before, its baking hot at some 28C and dry heat.
Come visit Croatia!!!

Good grief, mate! You could meet up with my folks! They've gone sailing in Croatia...my Aunt and Uncle are meeting them over there as well... so I don't think you'd be able to go to their place a France. Oh well! Sounds great!
They will love it!
I really recommend a visit mate. Plus the women are the hottest and its everywhere you turn, best I have seen anywhere! haha.
I was thinking sailing would be an awesome way to visit this country.
People are so nice and welcoming, until you get to Dubrovnik, which unfortunately is getting the tourist disease of ripping you off at every turn...
